Lead and Facilitate Evidence Based Practice
VA Tennessee Valley Health System (2023-2024)
I lead Evidence Based Practice (EBP) education and oversee the implmentation of EBP projects through the mentoring of new graduate nurses on identify a practice problem, conducting research, stakeholder engagement, implementation of practice change. Most recently, our Cohort 5 nurse residents successfully implemented a EBP project that will improve care for Veterans across TVHS.

Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center (2010-2012)
I implemented a standardized CEID policy and order sets resulting in a 100% reduction in infection rates for patients receiving implantable cardiac devices (Infection rate fell from seven in 6 months to zero over the 12 months following implementation)

Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center (2010-2012)
I implemented mandatory ETCO2 monitoring for patients receiving moderate sedation resulting in a 100% reduction in adverse patient events secondary to hypoxia (code blue rate fell from 4 in a 12 months to zero over the 12 months following implementation).

I contributed to first year Rapid Response Team program start-up resulting in a reduction of codes to 0% on seven clinical units in 454 bed GACH (Ortho/trauma, Med/Onc, Med Tele, Pulmonary, Same Day, PCSU, L&D).
