Orange County Emergency Medical Services (2008-2020)

I empowered staff at all discipline levels to maximize decision making within their scope and span of control. Teams I led were able to function independently and deliver high quality results and contributions related to their assigned areas. For example, teams were able to manage and run investigations and identify compliance issues for deficiencies in ambulance provider requirements and take action that resulted in probation or loss of program accreditation. These adverse actions were often challenged and reviewed through an administrative hearing where 100% of our adverse actions here upheld by the judge or hearing administrator.

Managed Cross Functional Teams

Orange County Emergency Medical Services (2017-2020)

I engaged system stakeholders and developed Orange County HCC to provide system stakeholders with a seat at the table and voice to contribute. This contributed to advanced planning and preparation to improve response capabilities for the entire Orange County healthcare system. This was ultimately tested with a disaster training and exercise scenario where the majority of hospitals, outpatient facilities, dialysis centers, EMS providers, home health and hospice providers, long term care, and skilled nursing facilities participated and achieved the training and exercise objectives.
