Reorganization & Merger
Reorganization and Merger
Orange County Emergency Medical Services (2013-2017)
In 2013 I proposed and subsequently led a reorganized and merger of the Emergency Medical Services and Health Disaster Management Divisions of the Orange County Health Care Agency brining planning and operations for both program under one administrative umbrella. This contributed consistency in program administration. planning and operations. This additionally ensured emergency planning efforts were clinically relevant and appropriate. As the Assistant EMS Director, I was able to ensure that the health emergency agency operations center, local distribution warehouse, disaster caches, communication systems, reporting systems and system planning and operations were prepared for a health emergency. This contributed to a successful response to the COVID pandemic.
Reorganization and Merger
Air Methods- Mercy Air (2009-20111)
In 2019, I co-led a reorganized of medical and operational leadership reducing California & Nevada air ambulance bases from four divisions with four medical managers to one with one medical manager. As the medical manager, I provided oversight of administrative, operational, safety, and clinical management of 168 medical flight crew members and 17 air medical bases throughout Southern California, Northern California, and Nevada. The consolidation led to consistency in administration of operations, standards and safety initiatives.
