VA Tennessee Valley Health System (2023-2024)

I developed curriculum mapping, data analysis, data presentation, site visit, and contributed to all aspects of the self-study leading to successful CCNE accreditation for the Post Baccalaureate-Registered Nurse Residency Program. This accreditation validates our compliance with education standards and demonstrates the quality and integrity of the PB-RNR program at TVHS.

ACEN Accreditation

Santa Ana College of Nursing (2019-2020)

I developed and contributed to assigned elements of data analysis, data presentation, program self-study and site visit leading to successful ACEN program evaluation for the Santa Ana College Nursing Program leading to an 8 year ACEN accreditation. This accreditation validates the nursing programs compliance with education standards and demonstrates the quality and integrity of the nursing program at Santa Ana College.

I developed and contributed to assigned elements of data analysis, data presentation, program self-study and site visit leading to successful California Board of Registered Nursing program evaluation for the Santa Ana College Nursing Program leading to an 8 year California BRN program approval

Regulatory Administration

Orange County Emergency Medical Services (2008-2020)

I evaluation, designation, and provided regulatory oversight of initial and recertification for 3 adult and 1 pediatric trauma centers, 14 cardiac receiving centers, 9 comprehensive stroke receiving centers, 25 emergency receiving centers and 4 base hospitals in Orange County. The local EMS agency is the regulatory authority and oversees hospital designations allowing the facilities to provide a higher level of care. Our acccreditation process affirms each healthcare facility meets the standards assuring protection of public health and safety.

Regulatory Policy & Procedure Administration

Orange County Emergency Medical Services (2008-2020)

I developed and revised policies at the facility and system levels for operations, medical control, standing orders, and EMS level skills. Policy changes were driven based on evidence-based practice and EMS system data. One example of an EBP driven policy change was to remove the use of backboards for trauma patients in the absence of signs and symptoms of spinal cord injury such as paralysis or paresthesias. This practice change required a policy change and EMS system training for all providers.

County Of Orange Emergency Medical Services (2014-2020)

I led the development and revisions of air medical administrative and policies and procedures. Ensured policies, procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP's) were accurate, consistent, relevant, and evidence based. I ensured policies met standards of care and adhered to accreditation requirements. I was responsible for the creation and/or revision of policies related to facilities, providers, personnel, emergency management, and EMS system administration and operations. Some of the policies I created included the pediatric trauma receiving center policy, tactical medic policies, and hospital emergency response team policies. Some of the policies I revised and updated include trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric receiving center policies, personnel accreditation policies, air ambulance and air rescue policies.

I led the development and revisions of air medical administrative and policies and procedures. Ensured policies, procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP's) were accurate, consistent, relevant, and evidence based. I ensured policies met standards of care and adhered to accreditation requirements. I was responsible for the creation and/or revision of operations policies for the California and Nevada flight programs and advised and provided input on medical control and clinical procedures policies

I led the development and revisions of air medical administrative and policies and procedures. Ensured policies, procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP's) were accurate, consistent, relevant, and evidence based. I ensured policies met standards of care and adhered to accreditation requirements. I was responsible for the creation and/or revision of the Stereotaxis Electrophysiology Room Policy, Moderate Sedation Policy, and the CIED Policy- Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Device Policy and Standardized Order Set.

Orange County Sheriff's Department (2014-2019)

I led the development and revisions of air medical administrative and policies and procedures. Ensured policies, procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP's) were accurate, consistent, relevant, and evidence based. I ensured policies met standards of care and adhered to accreditation requirements. I was responsible for the creation and/or revision of the controlled substances, EMS division, personnel and tactical medic standards, medical flight crew training, HIPAA and PHI, and quality assurance policies.
